Richmond Park with SANDQVIST and DENIM DUDES (02.11.2015)

Richmond Park with SANDQVIST and DENIM DUDES (02.11.2015)

If you follow my Instagram you know two things; one, I'm an egotistical person who loves taking selfies and modelling, and... I am so OBSESSED with my new SANDQVIST bag! I've been eyeing their bags for weeks now, and finally decided to treat myself. For those that don't know, SANDQVIST is a AMAZING Swedish brand (I love the Swedes, and Scandinavia). Normally, it does look out of place in the city (although there are collections designed for the city in mind), the bags deserved to be used in their natural environment, the wilderness.

The fog in London yesterday was CRAZY. I could barely see in front of me. Me and a friend decided to go to Richmond Park (in the fog it was sort of a cool adventure, but practically it was a stupid decision). If you're not familiar with Richmond Park, it's a really big park (understatement, it's fricking HUGE) with so many animals. Unfortunately this time around, there weren't any deers around. We saw one through the thick of the fog, as we were leaving the park - I didn't take a photo, but it would've been a fricking cool photo!

What's that I'm holding? That's 'Denim Dudes' by Amy Leverton. A super cool book, that all denim lovers must have! - I did not write that from a script, it's actually true. I recently had the opportunity to speak to H&M's senior print designer, and denim obsessed lover Kelly Harrington for Eight, and she mentioned Denim Dudes, and Amy Leverton. If Kelly recommends it, I HAD to pick it up.

That's me reading Denim Dudes, and the first issue of Eight Magazine... which you can pick up here.

Tea cups (20.06.2015)

Tea cups (20.06.2015)

This shoot was from last month. It was a fun shoot with Dayana from Model-Union, and Sarah - a make up artist I've worked with several times.

Self Portraits (24.03.2015)

Self Portraits (24.03.2015)

Today I received my Westcott 43' Umbrella Kit. I've always been inexperienced with studio photography and speedlights, so I decided to shoot some self portraits to test out lighting styles and to get used to setting up lights.

This was shot in front of a wall in my room, I'm surprised they turned out quite well, considering how small my room is.

Annie (08.11.2014)

Annie (08.11.2014)

I had the pleasure of working with Annie again. If you haven't seen our previous shoot together check it out here! We shot in Hampstead Heath - there were lots of lovely places to shoot, despite walking around for two hours we barely covered 1/4 of what's there!

These three photos were shot in a lovely hill garden that was sort of hidden from the main paths.

If you haven't seen Annie's work please check it out here: Annie Hall Art

Burberry Shoot (26/09/2014)

Burberry Shoot (26/09/2014)

I approached Ellie originally for a classic black and white portfolio style shoot, but as we developed the idea for the shoot it slowly became a Burberry Style shoot.
Ellie brought her classic Burberry Trench Coat, and we just roamed Brick Lane - Shoreditch area to shoot!

Ellie was a delight to shoot with. Easy to shoot with and great at posing! Check out her food blog at: Good for Bellie

Rooftop Shoot with Annie (23/05/2014)

Rooftop Shoot with Annie (23/05/2014)

So I came across this talented artist and model on ModelMayhem. Annie was very enthusiastic about the shoot and was very easy to work with. I met her at the Elephant and Castle station and shot around Elephant and Castle.

I thought the area would be rough, it being Elephant and Castle. It wasn't surprisingly, the scariest people we came across were a group of girls talking about boyfriend issues.

Probably my favourite shot from the shoot. I just love the way Annie's eyes pop.

Did I mention Annie is an artist? Her work is amazing! It's quite rare to find someone as talented as her. Her style is very unique. You can see her work: here

I'm finished with college now, and I plan to expand my portfolio throughout this summer so expect lots more posts on this blog! I have several ideas floating around surrounding balloons, and some floral ideas.

Nora (03/04/2014)

Nora (03/04/2014)

Last Saturday I collaborated with Nora, who is a fantastic model on a photo shoot.  We took some shots around this beautiful plot of land behind the Luton Airport by some farm fields. The theme of the shoot was about a girl who is lost in out in the country field. It fits within my project theme of Growth and Evolution, I shot with three cameras; my D90, the Canon EOS 500 (film slr), and the Polaroid SX-70. I wanted to capture this shoot through three different mediums. For the outfit, I asked Nora to come in a simple white shirt or summer dress and some shorts. I found the floral headpiece on Etsy - it added a bit of detail and a natural touch to the outfit, which works well with the white top and the Rapeseed Field.

My favourite shot from the shoot

I had some issues with the roll of film. I got them developed at Snappy Snaps and their developing contraption got scratched my film and there were some patches of orange undeveloped bits. Anyway, here are the shots with the film camera:

Finally, the Polaroid scans:
